Looking to extend your NAFTA work permit?

As of July 1, 2020, North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) has been replaced by Canada–United States–Mexico Agreement (CUSMA), but the chapter on Temporary Entry for Business Persons remains the same.  Like NAFTA, Chapter 16 of CUSMA deals with the temporary entry of business persons from Canada, the United States of America and Mexico, and does not relate to permanent residence.  The types of business persons included under the CUSMA are business visitors, professionals, intra-company transferees and traders and investors.

For more information on NAFTA and CUSMA, please contact Marani Law LLP at info@maranilaw.com or (647) 351-7795.
